A Message From Mary
It is my privilege to represent you as your bargaining unit president in the Occasional Teachers Bargaining Unit of District 18, OSSTF.
The nature of our work means that we do not maintain site representatives at each school and alternate work site, but I am always glad to receive and respond to your phone calls and e-mail.
Please never hesitate to pick up the phone and call.
The most efficient ways to reach me are:
- Call my cell phone at 519-827-6676.
If I cannot answer, leave me a voice message with your best calling times and I will respond in a timely manner.
2. Send an email from your personal email address to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
3. Call the office at either 519-843-4043 or 866-264-4425
Dial extension # 231 and then select option #7 to jump to my cell phone; if I cannot answer, leave me a message.
Please do not send me text messages.
Yours in Federation,

We do not have permanent site-reps in our schools and alternate work sites.
The permanent teacher site-reps are not versed in our collective agreement.

Occasional Teacher Collective Agreement (C.A.)
Most aspects of our employment in the Upper Grand District School Board are governed by the following documents -- links provided -- in addition to various pieces of federal and provincial legislation and local school board policies.
The Collective Agreement presently has two primary sections:
- Part A - negotiated components,
- Part B - consisting of one locally-negotiated component.
While both Part A and Part B include various Letters of Agreement and Letters of Understanding, we have provided specific links to all of the locally-negotiated such letters, as well as a link to an additional Local Memorandum of Settlement – since these documents actually “live” locally, but outside of Part B of the collective agreement.
Please consider reading and becoming familiar with the collective agreement.
Part A - Centrally Negotiated
Part B - Locally Negotiated
Local Letters of Agreement
- Local Letter of Understanding (locally negotiated)
- Local Memorandum of Settlement (locally negotiated )
